May there be no animosity between brothers and sisters, in Islam.
May the bricks of the Muslim ummah (each individual brother and sister) see each other as just that: a family. A Muslim family.
We all have the same Creator… we all came from the same parents (Adam and Hawaa). We are intrinsically tied to one another. We shouldn’t fight or bicker, insult or harm one another. We are brothers…… we’re sisters.
I honestly believe that if (and this is a big if) everyone followed the Qur’an and the sunnah of our beloved prophet, and acted with love and humility with each other (as is stated numerously in the Qur’an and Hadith), then everyone would not only be cordial and tolerant of everyone else… everyone would love everyone else–simply because everyone would have great character, be selfless, they would put Allah s.w.t. first, in their lives… they would be loveable, in other words.
But I know that not everyone is even aware that every Muslim (and even person) is entitled to certain rights, over his fellow brothers and sisters. Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi Allah 3nhu):
Allah’s Apostle said, “Do not hate one another, do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert each other. And O, Allah’s worshipers! Be brothers. Lo! It is not permissible for any Muslim to desert (not talk to) his brother (Muslim) for more than three days*.”
Subhan Allah–this prophetic, divinely inspired Hadith is much-needed, in the ummah, today.
Sometimes, it seems like all Muslims do is hate one another, be jealous of one another, and desert one another (maybe I’m just too pessimistic about it, though)..
There is hatred and jealousy (and other evil emotions) going on between so many Muslims, these days…subhan Allah, we’ve abandoned the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet 😢
*I know I’ve messed up, so many times, with my fellow brothers and sisters, in Islam. I hope they forgive me, for that..(so, I am not immune from being a fitnah or difficulty for other brothers and sisters–far from it….
